Frequently asked questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Athletic therapy and massage therapy are always accepting new patients — call (250) 995-2005 and choose option 2.

To find a family doctor accepting patients, use the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC registrant directory.

What should I bring to my first visit?
  • Your Care Card (even if it isn't from BC)
  • A list of your current medications

Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to complete paperwork. Medical visits without a Care Card are billed at $72.00.

Where are you located?

We're at #11 – 536 Herald Street, at the rear of the building. Enter from Chatham Street across from Mark's: walk through the parking lot and gate, and you'll find us on the right under the glass awning.

Where do I park?

Street parking nearby is limited to one hour. There's a paid lot at the corner of Chatham and Store Street. Please don't park in the lot in front of the clinic — it's reserved for building residents.

How long are appointments?
  • Physiotherapy & athletic therapy: 30 minutes
  • Massage therapy: initial visit 40 or 60 minutes; follow-ups 20, 30, 40 or 60 minutes
I was injured at work. Can you bill WorkSafeBC?

Physiotherapy and athletic therapy do not accept WCB patients. If you were hurt at work, tell your employer and contact WorkSafeBC at 1-888-967-5377.

Let us know right away if a visit should be billed to WCB. You'll pay the office fee until WCB fully accepts the claim, or if it isn't accepted.

I was in a car accident. Can you bill ICBC?

Yes — tell our receptionist before your visit that it should be billed to ICBC. The user fee is $30 for the first visit and $25 for each visit after that.

What if I need to cancel or miss an appointment?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged $30–$75 depending on the provider, payable before your next treatment.
